Fundamental Freddie Weekly Report – 08-Dec-13

Eyes On China Again!

Many (if not all) markets around the world are, like it or not, dependent on Chinese growth and Chinese data due early next week will be closely watched.

On Sunday, Chinese Trade Balance figures are out, followed by CPI on Monday and Industrial Production on Tuesday.  If any or all of these disappoint it could provide the fuel for a much needed Stock market correction.

[notify_box font_size=”14px” style=”blue”]If, on the other hand, Chinese data is mostly positive it will provide festive cheer for World Stock markets and economies. This is especially true for countries such as Australia and Canada which are heavily reliant on China for its exports.[/notify_box]

Note: The most volatile day for USD is likely to be Thursday with Retail sales and Unemployment data due at 13:30 UK time.
